OUR STORY
from a dream to reality...
“Oyate” (pronounced “Oh-Ya-Tay”) is a Lakota word meaning family or tribe. The founder of Oyate Herbals is a traditional Native American woman from the Lakota Nation, second generation herbalist and has over 40 years experience in Eastern, Western and Native American herbology. She has taught at Western state College and several Elementary, Middle and High schools throughout Colorado. She is a Published author in Woodland Park living Magazine. She was raised with traditional plant medicines and has been assisting people for many years to live a healthier more balanced lifestyle without pain, stress, fatigue and prescription medications.
After encouragement by her friends, family, and other energy-healing clients, to market her products to help others, Oyate Herbals was founded.
We have been in business since 2012 and the results have been miraculous. From the moment our products reached the public, we have been very busy. Why are we so busy? Because what we have to offer really works!
We can be seen at the different local Famers Markets, Powwow's and Holistic fairs. Please stop by and say "Hello"!
Extending our "Oyate" is a huge part of our dream in helping to bring health, happiness and balance to the people.
We also offer wholesale options. You can find our products in various stores in Colorado and New Mexico. If you are interested in becoming an authorized dealer of Oyate Herbals please email us your request.
Below are a few of our favorite reviews that have been posted and a list of authorized retailers. We are growing and expanding our "Oyate" everyday.
We have other partners and services to assist you with your life journey and keeping you balanced mind, body and spirit. Please email us your specific needs or requests and we can set up a consultation.
Our founder takes great pride in what she does and is committed to serving the people with honor and dignity. Customer service is everything to us and we back our products 100%. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to hearing from you.

*Although our founder is Lakota, none of the Comfort Mountain products line is represented to be ‘Indian Products’ as defined by law.
